This is a part-time, ongoing role perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference—whether you're an experienced TA or looking to gain valuable experience in education.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils across KS2, particularly with boosters, interventions, and special educational needs (SEN). Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you'll help pupils overcome learning barriers and build confidence, ensuring every child has the chance to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and 1:1 support to KS2 pupils, focusing on literacy and numeracy

• Assist with tailored learning activities for pupils with additional needs

• Help manage classroom behaviour and support positive social interaction

• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff

• Create a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel safe and valued

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within KS2

• A warm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners

• Understanding of SEN strategies and intervention techniques

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Benefits

• Daily rate of £85–£100, depending on experience

• Flexible part-time hours with long-term prospects

• A supportive school community with dedicated staff

• Opportunities for ongoing professional development

• Excellent transport links in East London
