Join Our Team as a SEMH Trainee Teaching Assistant

About the Role

Teaching Assistants play a crucial part in supporting the daily life of a school. We re looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.

As a SEMH Trainee Teaching Assistant, you ll work closely with the class teacher to support learning, manage classroom behaviour, and deliver targeted interventions. You ll also provide personalised support for pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), helping to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Your role will also involve assisting with behaviour monitoring, progress tracking, and contributing to a positive, consistent classroom experience for all learners.

To be considered for this role, you should:

Be enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with SEND

Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and the importance of pupil welfare

Be committed to starting a career in education, with a clear understanding of the Teaching Assistant s role in supporting both students and teachers

Be open to training and professional development opportunities

Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience, training, and qualifications.
