Secondary Teaching Assistant Burton upon Trent (DE14) 95– 105 per day Long Term Role Starting ASAP

The Opportunity:

Provide academic and pastoral support to students across a range of subjects in years 7, 8 & 9 (Key Stage 3) in a mainstream secondary school.Proven experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis.Ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider team.Full–time role, Monday to Friday. Paid up to 105 per day, term–time only.September start with potential for a long–term placement.Key Responsibilities:

Work under the guidance of the SENCo to deliver tailored support strategiesProvide 1:1 and small group assistance to students with a variety of special educational needs across all yearsSupport students to remain engaged and focused on lessons, adapting resources where neededAssist with differentiation, coursework, and organisation to help students access the full curriculumHelp maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment through strong behaviour management skillsLiaise regularly with teaching staff and the SEN team to monitor progress and adjust support strategies accordinglyWho We're Looking For:

A minimum Level 3 qualification (essential).Experience working in a secondary school or supporting students with SEN.A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with students.Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.Ability to inspire and encourage students, creating a positive learning environment.A strong commitment to safeguarding and student well–being.Why Work with Long Term Futures?
