Religious Education (RE) Teacher Southampton

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Long–term until December 2025 (potential to become permanent)

Pay: GBP160 GBP240 per day (dependent on experience)

Hours: 8:00am 4:00pm Full–Time

Location: Southampton

Position Overview: Supply Desk is currently working with a well–regarded secondary school in Southampton to recruit a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher for the new academic year. The successful candidate will join the school from September 2025 on a long–term basis until December 2025, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent.

This role involves teaching RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, and you'll be supported by a collaborative Humanities department. The position is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators. The school also welcomes applications from unqualified teachers or non–specialists with relevant experience in teaching RE at the secondary level.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons that explore different beliefs and promote mutual respect.Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.Create a positive and well–managed classroom environment.Take part in the wider school community, including extracurricular activities.
