Are you passionate about supporting young people with complex needs? Do you want to be part of a caring, dedicated team that truly puts children first? PK Education is recruiting a Pupil Support Mentor to work within a specialist secondary resource provision near Pontefract.

About the Role:

As a Pupil Support Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who may become dysregulated and have a range of complex SEND and SEMH needs. Your role will involve providing specialist 1:1 support during core lessons such as English and Maths, helping pupils access learning and develop essential skills in a nurturing environment.

What You’ll Do:

Deliver targeted, individualised support to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs

Work within a small, supportive team committed to positive outcomes for children

Support pupils to regulate emotions and behaviours to engage effectively in lessons

Collaborate with teaching staff to tailor support and promote inclusion

Who We’re Looking For:

Compassionate, patient, and adaptable individuals

Experience working with children with SEND and/or SEMH is highly desirable

Ability to remain calm and positive when working with pupils who may become dysregulated

Strong communication skills and a team player mindset
