Exciting Opportunity: Psychology Graduate Transitioning to Primary Teaching Assistant

Role Overview:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant with a focus on psychology, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and emotional development of primary school students. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons, with a particular focus on incorporating psychological principles to support learning and well-being.

Providing one-to-one or small group support for students, including those with special educational needs, to ensure their academic and social progression.

Organizing and leading activities that promote emotional resilience, mental health awareness, and positive social interactions among students.

Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement events focused on well-being, such as mindfulness sessions, anti-bullying workshops, and mental health awareness days.

Requirements:

A degree in Psychology or a related field.

Passion for working with children and supporting their holistic development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.

Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced school environment.

Previous experience working with children or in educational settings is advantageous.
