Primary Teaching Assistants required

Hillingdon

September 2025 start

£95-110 per day

Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently working with primary schools in the borough of Hillingdon that require experienced Primary Teaching Assistants for full time positions starting in September. Roles are full time, Monday - Friday, 8.30am-4pm, term time only. These roles will involve supporting a diverse range of students, including those with additional needs.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students in achieving their academic goals and reaching their full potential.

Encouraging students to engage proactively with their learning and develop independence.

Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children to learn and thrive.

Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting general learning and development.

Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and additional needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met and they feel included in the classroom.

Demonstrating good presentation and clear articulation skills to assist with communication and understanding.The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEN, or have a strong interest in pursuing a career in education.

Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), or a degree in a related field.

Be patient, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

Have strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to motivate and support students effectively.Graduates with experience are encouraged to apply.
