Primary Support Assistant

Location: Islington, London

Position Type: Full-time / Part-time

Salary: £90-£110 per day

About the Role

Tradewind Education is recruiting Primary Support Assistants to work across a range of outstanding and inclusive primary schools in the Islington area. These positions are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development and who thrive in a team-oriented school environment.

Whether you're assisting in-class, providing targeted interventions, or working 1:1 with pupils with additional needs, your contribution will be essential to the day-to-day learning and progress of pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

Key Responsibilities

Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities

Assist pupils with a range of needs, including SEN, EAL, and behavioural support

Help maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment

Provide 1:1 or small group support where appropriate

Contribute to planning and assessment under teacher direction

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience working in a primary school or educational setting

A strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum and classroom expectations

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
