A welcoming, inclusive and well led primary school in Chingford – Waltham Forest, London are seeking 2 Teaching Assistants to join them in October and November 2025 for a long–term contract until at least July 2026. This is an opportunity to work closely with pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them thrive both academically and socially.

This is an ideal role for someone with a solid foundation in SEN support who is ready to take the next step in a rewarding, school–based career or a recent graduate who is wanting to embark on a career in education.

90– 115 per day / 450 – 575 per week

This Primary SEN Teaching Assistant role will entail working one–to–one or in small groups with pupils with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and social–emotional difficulties.

You will collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to deliver tailored interventions. It is a really rewarding role to help children thrive in their education journey.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a school or similar educational settingOr a recent graduate from UK with a relevant degree e.g Psychology, Education or SEN etcStrong understanding of a variety of special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH)Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situationsConfident in delivering 1:1 and group interventionsExcellent communication skills and ability to build trust with pupils and staffPassion for inclusive education and a commitment to professional developmentSchool Details:
