HLTA (Primary) – Central Northampton

October 2025 Start Full–Time or Part–Time (Min. 4 Days) Term–Time Only

Hours: 8:15am – 3:45pm Qualified HLTAs Only

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in central Northampton is seeking a confident, experienced, and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from October 2025.

This role will involve supporting teaching and learning across the whole school, covering classes from Reception to Year 6, as well as delivering planned lessons and interventions as required. The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, and confident leading groups or whole classes when needed.

The school is easily accessible via public transport, with regular bus routes and central links nearby.

About the Role:

HLTA position covering all year groups (Reception–Year 6)

Full–time or part–time (minimum 4 days per week)

Term–time only, 8:15am – 3:45pm daily

Delivering lessons, interventions, and class cover where required

Working closely with teachers and support staff to promote positive learning outcomes

What We're Looking For:

A qualified HLTA (essential – HLTA status must be confirmed)

Proven experience in a primary school setting

Confident managing classrooms and leading learning across different age groups

A flexible, can–do attitude and the ability to adapt quickly

Strong communication and organisational skills
