We are currently seeking an experienced Premises Officer to join a busy and supportive secondary school in London on a temporary basis, starting immediately.

Role Overview:

As the Premises Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running, safety, and security of the school site. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and minor DIY tasks

* Ensure the security of the school buildings and grounds

* Oversee contractors and maintenance teams working on-site

* Manage cleaning and waste disposal routines

* Support with setting up classrooms and facilities for school activities

* Conduct regular health and safety checks and ensure compliance

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a premises or site management role — ideally within a school or educational environment

* Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills

* Excellent awareness of health & safety procedures

* Enhanced DBS certificate on update service

* Reliability, flexibility, and a proactive, can-do attitude

* Able to work from 6am – 2pm
