Teaching Assistant (PMLD Support) - Southwark

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (PMLD Support) to provide one-to-one support for a child with profound and multiple learning disabilities in a welcoming Southwark primary school. The successful Teaching Assistant (PMLD Support) will play a vital role in supporting communication, personal care, and access to learning, while helping the child feel safe, included, and valued.

As a Teaching Assistant (PMLD Support), you will work closely with the class teacher, therapists, and the wider support team to deliver tailored strategies and ensure consistency of care. Essential Qualifications:

A relevant degree from a Top 10 University (graded 2:1 minimum)

British CitizenshipDesirable training:

Manual Handling and Hoist Training

PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)

Makaton or other communication approaches

Experience with sensory integration strategies
