Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive Pastoral Manager to join a supportive school setting in Rotherham (S60). This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about student welfare and thrive on building positive relationships to promote behaviour, attendance, and emotional development.

As a Pastoral Manager, you will act as a key liaison between pupils, staff, and families, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive school environment where every student feels safe, supported, and motivated to succeed.

Responsibilities as Pastoral Manager:

Oversee the pastoral care of students, ensuring their social, emotional, and behavioural needs are met.

Monitor attendance, punctuality, and behaviour, implementing intervention strategies where necessary.

Support students experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties, liaising with external agencies where appropriate.

Work closely with teaching and support staff to promote positive behaviour and wellbeing across the school.

Develop strong relationships with families and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.

Requirements for Pastoral Manager:

Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or safeguarding role within an educational setting is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and emotional wellbeing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.

Ability to remain calm and consistent under pressure.

A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one.

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
