Panel Inclusion Officer

Location: Medway Council

Rate: £200 per day (via umbrella)

Contract: Initially 3 months

Working ArrangementL 3 days per week in the office

Medway Council is seeking a proactive Panel Inclusion Officer to support our Education & SEND team. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to play a key role in ensuring fair access, supporting schools and families, and contributing to the smooth running of our panels and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in administering Fair Access Panels, Exclusion Panels, and Attendance Pre-Court Panels.

Liaise with schools and families on admissions matters and respond to enquiries within agreed timescales.

Support the recording and issuing of Penalty Notices, working alongside the Penalty Notice & Child Employment Coordinator.

Collate documentation for legal processes relating to exclusion, suspension, and attendance.

Process, maintain, and monitor departmental data and records, identifying anomalies and escalating as required.

Ensure data accuracy and compliance with departmental policies, producing statistics to support effective management.

Provide additional administration support to the wider Inclusion Team as required.Skills & Experience

Experience in education administration, preferably in inclusion or SEND.

Strong communication skills with schools, families, and colleagues.

Ability to manage data and record-keeping with high accuracy.
