Description

A welcoming nursery in the heart of Shoreham–by–Sea is looking for a caring and qualified Level 2/ 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their friendly team this September.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a supportive setting where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and thrive – just a stone's throw from the sea.

Location: Shoreham–by–Sea, West Sussex Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible shifts between 08:00am – 18:00pm Rate of Pay: From 13.96 per hour

About the Role

You'll be working with children aged 0–5 years, helping them flourish across all areas of the EYFS framework. From imaginative play to quiet story time, your presence will help create a safe and joyful space where every child feels seen and supported.

You'll work both independently and as part of a close–knit team, contributing to a nurturing environment that celebrates curiosity, kindness, and early learning.

Key Responsibilities

Inspire learning through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions

Support children's emotional well–being and independence

Help maintain a consistent, caring routine throughout the day

Contribute to creative and age–appropriate activity planning

Record observations and track developmental progress

Provide inclusive care tailored to individual needs

Assist with personal care routines with sensitivity and respect

Uphold safeguarding standards and confidentiality at all times

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you:

Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare

Have experience working in a nursery or early years setting

Are passionate about creating a warm and engaging environment

Bring patience, creativity, and genuine care to your work

Understand child development and the EYFS framework

Communicate confidently with children, families, and colleagues

Have solid literacy, numeracy, and basic IT skills
