The Role – SEN Mentor
We are looking for a confident and compassionate SEN Mentor to support a KS3 student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who displays some challenging behaviour. This is a full-time, long-term role, where you’ll be working closely with the student throughout the day to provide both emotional and behavioural support, while also encouraging academic progress. As a SEN Mentor you will be building a strong, trusting relationship with the student, supporting the student 1:1 in and out of class, managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour whilst working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a mentoring, youth work, or SEN support role.
