At TeacherActive, we’re working with fantastic primary schools across Llanelli, and we’re on the lookout for a confident and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our network. This role will include supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), either through 1:1 work or small group interventions, and may also involve PPA cover when required – so experience delivering lessons or leading the classroom is highly desirable.

What we’re looking for:

HLTA status or relevant experience delivering lessons in a school setting

Experience supporting children with ALN – 1:1 or in groups

PPA cover experience is highly desirable

A positive, proactive approach to classroom support

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential

An understanding of trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches is a real advantage
