Salary: £99 – £125 per day (Depending on Experience)

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking experienced Level 4 Teaching Assistants to join schools in Hull. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and development.

As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils across a variety of subjects and activities. You will help create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, assist with learning activities, and contribute to both academic and personal development.

Level 4 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Provide support to pupils in the classroom and in small groups.

Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.

Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.

Prepare and organise resources to support learning.

Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff.

Support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and non-classroom activities.

Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in learning.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet pupil needs.

Assist with planning and delivery of targeted learning activities.

Support extracurricular activities and school trips as required.

Requirements for a Level 4 Teaching Assistant (Level 4 TA):

Experience working in a UK primary or secondary school as a Level 4 Teaching Assistant or HLTA.

Relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to support pupils across a range of abilities.

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
