SEN Learning Support Assistant (16+)

Chelmsford

£90 to £140/day

September Start

Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you thrive in a vibrant, energetic environment where no two days are the same? If so, this SEN Learning Support Assistant role in a Chelmsford-based college could be your perfect next step!

We’re looking for a passionate, proactive and positive individual to join a forward-thinking college supporting learners aged 16+ with additional needs. Whether you're an experienced LSA or looking to grow your skills in SEN, this opportunity offers a rewarding and inspiring challenge.

The Role:

Support students aged 16+ with a range of special educational needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH and other learning differences.

Work alongside teaching staff to tailor activities, break down barriers to learning, and help students achieve both academically and personally.

Promote independence, resilience, and confidence as students prepare for further study, the workplace, or independent living.

Contribute to a friendly, inclusive and supportive college community where every student matters.

What We’re Looking For:

Someone with a genuine passion for SEN and inclusive education.

Previous experience in a college, SEN school or post-16 setting is highly desirable – but a great attitude and willingness to learn go a long way!

Strong communication, empathy and adaptability are key.

Team player with a positive, can-do approach and a good sense of humour!

What’s in It for You:

Competitive daily pay (£90–£140 depending on experience)

Ongoing training and CPD opportunities

A supportive, student-focused college environment

The chance to truly change lives

Please note: All applicants must have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection. An enhanced DBS on the update service is required for this role.
