Are you a skilled and passionate tradesperson with a desire to inspire the next generation? Tyne Metropolitan College is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of vocational education.

What You'll Do:

Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Carpentry and Joinery programmes. Support learners individually and in groups to achieve their goals. Collaborate with employers to enhance apprenticeship delivery and curriculum relevance. Plan, assess, and review learning programmes in line with industry standards.

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

Substantial industry experience and occupational competence in Carpentry and Joinery. Subject-relevant qualification at Level 3 or above. Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one. Assessors Award (A1 or TDLB 32/33) or willingness to complete. GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or willingness to work towards. Strong communication, IT, and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Car owner/driver with flexibility to travel. Commitment to learner engagement, safeguarding, and equality and diversity. Evidence of continuing professional development.

Desirable:

Verification Award (V1 or TDLB 34) or willingness to work towards. Experience delivering NVQs, apprenticeships, or employer-responsive programmes.
