Learning Support Assistant - Mainstream Primary Schools

Location: Waltham Forest

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term-Time Only)

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: £85-110 a day

Are you a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real difference in children's education? We are recruiting on behalf of a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Waltham Forest, offering long-term opportunities through our agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils across the primary curriculum, both in class and through small group/1:1 intervention.

Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning to meet individual needs.

Provide support for pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN and EAL.

Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment.

Contribute to the social, emotional, and academic development of all pupils.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with children (school, nursery, tutoring, youth work or similar).

A passion for supporting learning and development in primary education.

Patience, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
