Location: Newcastle College

Contract: Full–time / Part–time (flexible)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications

The Supply Register is inviting expressions of interest from dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to support learners in Further Education settings in Newcastle. We partner with local colleges and training providers to help them find the right permanent and long–term support staff to make a real difference in the lives of learners.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide one–to–one and small group support to students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)Assist in the delivery of high–quality teaching and learning, tailored to meet individual needsPromote learner independence, confidence, and engagement in the classroomSupport learners with a range of additional needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and social/emotional needsWork collaboratively with teaching staff and other support professionals to create an inclusive learning environmentProvide positive encouragement and help learners overcome barriers to learning Essential Requirements:

Experience working with learners with SEN or additional learning needsA patient, caring, and flexible approachExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build positive relationships and motivate learnersA genuine commitment to supporting young people and adults from diverse backgrounds Desirable:

Relevant qualification in learning support, SEN, or a related fieldPrevious experience in a further education or post–16 settingUnderstanding of strategies to support learners with a range of additional needs What We Offer:
