Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Hailsham

Salary: GBP88.92 GBP100 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: September / Immediate Start

Contract: Full–time, Long–term

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? GSL Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive SEN school in Hailsham. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your experience and develop your career within a supportive educational environment.

The Role: You ll be working across the classroom, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Your role will be to help every child feel included, supported, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored classroom support to pupils with individual learning needs

Encourage engagement and participation in class activities

Use visual aids and simple communication strategies to aid understanding

Foster positive relationships with pupils and staff

Support pupils' emotional and social development in a nurturing environment

What We re Looking For: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (in education, care, or youth settings)

A patient, caring, and adaptable approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A willingness to learn and respond to varied student needs

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
