Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant - Primary School, Oldham
Start: ASAP | Full-Time
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Primary School in Oldham seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to support students in their SEN unit.
If you are passionate about helping young children and have a talent for positive behaviour management, this could be the role for you.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support the social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs of students
Manage challenging behaviour with patience and consistency
Support learning across the class, including individual, small, and large groups
Monitor and assist children with SEMH difficulties and potentially other special educational needs
Encourage positive behaviour through support academically, socially, and emotionally
You Will Need To:
Have experience as a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant
Believe in a holistic approach to a child's learning journey
Be calm, empathetic, yet able to set clear boundaries
Be trustworthy, reliable, and dedicated
Have a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people
