Supply Desk are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Primary KS2 Classroom Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Harrow area, starting this September.

This full–time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and keen to support pupils across Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

You will provide classroom and learning support to pupils, helping them access the curriculum, develop their confidence, and achieve their full potential. The role will involve supporting individuals and small groups, assisting with classroom activities, and helping to maintain a positive and well–organised learning environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher, graduate, experienced Teaching Assistant, or someone looking to develop their career within primary education. The school offers a supportive environment where professional development and staff wellbeing are valued.

Responsibilities Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and effective lessonsProvide one–to–one and small–group support to KS2 pupilsAssist pupils with their learning across the primary curriculumHelp prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materialsEncourage pupils to participate confidently in classroom activitiesSupport pupils with developing their academic, social, and emotional skillsHelp maintain a positive, inclusive, and well–managed classroom environmentSupport pupils who may require additional help with their learningAssist with classroom routines, break times, lunchtimes, and school activitiesMonitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacherWork collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and the wider school teamPromote safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion, and positive behaviourPrevious experience working with children is desirableExperience within a primary school or educational setting is advantageousA genuine passion for supporting children's learning and developmentGood communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, positive, and enthusiastic approachThe ability to build positive relationships with pupilsGood classroom management and organisational skillsA commitment to inclusive educationThe ability to work effectively as part of a teamA good understanding of safeguarding and child protectionComprehensive safeguarding trainingWeekly paymentsOngoing support from experienced, local education consultantsA supportive and welcoming school environmentOpportunities for continued professional development, CPD, and trainingValuable experience within a primary school settingOpportunities to develop your education careerAccess to a wide range of teaching and support opportunitiesRefer a Friend scheme Requirements What We Offer If you are a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Classroom Assistant looking to make a positive difference to the lives of KS2 pupils, we would love to hear from you.
