Intervention Teacher and Mentor – Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Secondary School in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire seeks an engaging Intervention Teacher to support pupils who require additional academic or behavioural support. Starting in September 2025, this role is ideal for someone with experience in targeted teaching, pupil mentoring, and/or SEN support.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored interventions in core and foundation subjects (literacy, numeracy, etc.)Work alongside staff to identify students who require targeted supportDevelop and implement individual learning plansTrack progress, maintain records, and report regularly on outcomesBuild positive, trusting relationships with pupils, parents and peersContribute to behaviour support and reintegration strategiesSupport extra–curricular programmes and attend off–site/home visits as required
Person Specification
Level 3 qualification or higher; GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4+)Strong communication and IT skillsExperience working with pupils facing social, emotional, or behavioural challengesKnowledge of SEN and behaviour management strategiesResilient, organised, and committed to pupil progressDriving licence and access to a car (desirable)
