Primary School - Bexley and Bromley

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Unqualified Teacher

Salary: £110 - £150 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time, via agency

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or unqualified SEND Teacher to join a SEND provision within the school. The successful candidate will work across two KS1 classes, supporting pupils with ASD and SLD.

You will work closely with the teaching team to plan and deliver high-quality lessons and activities, provide tailored support to individuals, and play a key role in the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for SEND pupils.

Provide one-to-one and small group support to help children overcome learning barriers.

Lead classes, interventions, and enrichment activities.

Support the creation and delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Promote positive behaviour and contribute to effective classroom management.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet pupils' needs.

Track and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and parents.

Take part in staff meetings, training sessions, and whole-school events.

About You

Qualifications: HLTA qualification (or equivalent).

Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEND, ideally within primary or Early Years settings.

Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
