Job Title: General Cover Teacher (KS3 & KS4)Location: TelfordStart Date: ImmediateContract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, Ongoing)Are you an adaptable educator with a passion for supporting students across a wide range of subjects?We are looking for a reliable and proactive General Cover Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Telford. This full-time, ongoing role involves covering lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, starting immediately. You'll play a key role in maintaining a high standard of education and ensuring students continue to make progress in the absence of their usual teacher.Responsibilities:Cover a wide range of lessons across different subjects for KS3 and KS4 studentsFollow lesson plans provided by regular class teachers and maintain a structured learning environmentManage student behaviour effectively to ensure a productive classroom atmosphereSupport students with learning tasks and provide additional assistance where neededTake responsibility for the students' well-being and safety during lessonsCommunicate effectively with other staff to ensure smooth transitions between classesMaintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents or issues during lessonsRequirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential)Experience working with secondary school students, ideally KS3 & KS4Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in a variety of subjectsExcellent organisational skills and flexibility to adapt to different teaching situationsA current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of studentsWorking Hours:Monday to Friday, during term timeFull-time role (approx. 8:30am - 3:30pm)This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile teacher who enjoys working across different subjects and can adapt to new challenges each day.
