About the Role We are currently recruiting reliable and proactive Bank Caretakers to support the day–to–day operation and maintenance of school sites across Chesterfield. This is a flexible, as–needed role ideal for individuals seeking work that can fit around other commitments while contributing to the smooth running of educational environments.
Key Responsibilities Carry out routine site inspections to ensure the premises remain safe, secure, and well–maintainedUndertake basic maintenance and repair tasks across school buildings and groundsEnsure school facilities are clean, tidy, and ready for daily useOpen and secure school premises as requiredMonitor and report maintenance issues, hazards, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisorAssist with room setups, furniture movement, and preparation for school events and activitiesMaintain external areas including pathways, entrances, and outdoor spacesFollow all health and safety procedures and site–specific regulations Requirements Previous caretaker, facilities, maintenance, or site support experience preferred but not essentialAbility to carry out basic maintenance and practical tasks safely and effectivelyStrong awareness of health and safety practicesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable, punctual, and flexible approach to workGood problem–solving skills and attention to detailEnhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer Flexible working hours to suit your availabilityOpportunities to work across multiple school locationsSupportive team environmentOngoing work on a bank basisOpportunity to gain experience within educational settingsCompetitive rates of pay
