Salary: 28,000 – 30,000 per annum

Contract: Full–time, permanent

Working Pattern: 4 days per week

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with an Alternative Provision setting who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Employability Teacher/Tutor to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people who may have struggled within mainstream education and wants to make a genuine difference to their future.

The Role

You will deliver engaging and practical employability–focused sessions to young people, helping them develop the skills and confidence required for life beyond education. You will work with small groups of up to just 6 students, allowing you to build strong relationships and provide a high level of individual support.

The school operates a 4–day working week, offering an excellent work–life balance while still providing a rewarding full–time role.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging employability and vocational sessions.Supporting students to develop workplace–ready skills and confidence.Preparing young people for further education, training and employment.Building positive and trusting relationships with students.Adapting sessions to meet individual learning needs and abilities.Supporting students who may have SEMH, behavioural or additional learning needs.Working alongside colleagues to support students' wider development and progression.Maintaining a calm, structured and positive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced working with young people, ideally within education, training, employment or Alternative Provision.Passionate about supporting students who face barriers to learning.Confident managing behaviour and building positive relationships.Able to deliver engaging, practical and accessible sessions.Patient, resilient and adaptable.Motivated by helping young people achieve their potential.A formal teaching qualification is desirable, but relevant experience and a strong understanding of employability and supporting young people will also be considered.
