Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Education Therapeutic Teaching Assistants to join our team in various Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Scunthorpe.

The Role

As an Education Therapeutic Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs to achieve their full potential. You'll be working closely with teachers and other professionals to create a nurturing and structured learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one–to–one and small group support to students.

Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).

Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.

Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.

Working therapeutically with students, helping them to develop coping strategies and build self–esteem.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.

A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN.

Patience, resilience, and a positive, empathetic approach.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential.
