Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their school experience and better development. Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bromley, London is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Year Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. The role:

As a SEN Teaching assistant, you will:

Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.

Provide 1:1 support with students who require additional support.

Working with small groups of pupils

Demonstrating a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting SEN students.

Reflecting on and improving your practice through self-evaluation and CPD.

Candidate specification:

Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential

All applicants must be willing to undergo vetting checks as part of the school’s commitment to Safeguarding and Anti-bullying. This will include:

Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)

Two recent references (covering the past 24 months)

Overseas Police Check (if applicable – for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the past 5 years)
