Salary Range: M1 to UPS3 (Paid to scale, depending on experience)

About the Role

As a Design and Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across a range of DT disciplines, including product design, resistant materials, and graphics. You ll be instrumental in fostering creativity, problem–solving, and technical skills in students, preparing them for future careers and further education.

Responsibilities of Design and Technology (DT) Teacher:

Plan and deliver high–quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.Inspire students through hands–on projects and creative challenges.Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.Maintain a safe and well–organised workshop/classroom environment.Collaborate with colleagues to support cross–curricular learning and enrichment activities.Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture. Requirements for Design and Technology (DT) Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Specialism or strong experience in Design and Technology.Excellent classroom management and communication skills.A passion for practical learning and student development.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
