Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Room Leader to join a well-established nursery committed to providing exceptional childcare and education creating a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality environment for children.

As a Deputy Room Leader, you will be supporting the management of the baby room and assisting in delivering exceptional care and education for young children.

This full-time role offers a salary of £29,000 and benefits.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Supporting the room leader in day-to-day management of the baby room.

Planning and supervising activities tailored to the children’s developmental needs.

Acting as key person for allocated children, ensuring their progress and wellbeing.

Maintaining accurate observations, assessments, and records.

Upholding safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times.

Building positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and external professionals.

Contributing to the quality and environment of the nursery to meet the Early Years Foundation Stage standards.

What We Are Looking For:

Previously worked as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Senior Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse or n a similar role.

Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).

Paediatric First Aid certification.

Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection procedures.

Experience working in a nursery or early years setting, supporting children’s learning and development.

Ability to support children with SEND and work in partnership with parents.

Good organisational skills, ability to manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records.

Flexible, enthusiastic, professional, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Knowledge or experience of using digital learning platforms is desirable.
