Progress Teachers are working closely with a local Mainstream Secondary School to appoint a skilled and dynamic Cover Supervisor for a full–time role to commence from September 2025.

This is the perfect opportunity for those who have stepped out of full–time teaching, or those with a degree in a relevant subject area who are considering a career as a teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Supervision: Effectively manage classrooms in the absence teachers, ensuring a focused and purposeful learning environment. Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre–prepared lesson plans to students, maintaining the continuity of learning and following school policies. Behaviour Management: Consistently implement the school's behaviour management policies to promote an atmosphere conducive to learning. Personalised Support: Offer support to individual students or small groups as needed, ensuring that they can access learning effectively. Communication: Maintain clear communication with colleagues regarding student progress, behaviour, and any issues that may arise during the day. Administration: Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as registering attendance, and reporting any incidents or concerns to the relevant colleagues. Professional Development: Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on School policy and procedures. Qualifications and Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Previous experience working in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies. x2 satisfactory references A DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain.
