Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools across Leicestershire

GSL Education is looking for reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Leicestershire. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking classroom experience or those looking for a flexible role in education.

Key Requirements:

Strong communication skills with high levels of English

A proactive attitude and commitment to student development

Ideally, a degree in a curriculum subject (not essential)

Experience working with young people (preferably in a school setting)

A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring students stay engaged and follow the lesson plan. You will help maintain a positive classroom environment, support students in their learning, and assist in ensuring lessons are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise students during teacher absence, ensuring they follow the lesson plan

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

Support students with their work and encourage focus

Assist with administrative duties, including taking registers

Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff members

Pay Rate:

£100–£110 per day, depending on experience
