Cover Supervisor

Description

TeacherActive are looking for Cover Supervisors to assist with day to day cover in mainstream Secondary Schools in Worcester and the surrounding areas.

Pay rates between £90-£120 per full day, depending on experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be supervising a classroom of around 25-30 students while they complete pre-prepared work when their current teacher is absent. Your main duties will be to take registers and record any absences, keep students on task and make sure work is completed, ensure classroom disruption is kept to a minimum, students are safe, and the classroom is left tidy.

Someone who has experience working as a Sports Coach or in activity clubs such as Scouts/Girl Guides

A current cover supervisor who’s looking for new opportunities

You will be able to work full time or part time with roles ranging from daily bookings to long term assignments.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will require:

Excellent communication skills

Have a basic understanding of the National Curriculum

Over 6 months experience working in an education environment

The ability to cover a variety of subjects

Passion for working in education

Self-motivated

Confidence to manage a classroom

Be able to commit to working school hours (8:30-3:30)
