Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools – Staffordshire

Location: Various locations across Staffordshire

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible (term-time)

Salary: £89 – £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Are you passionate about education and looking for flexible work within secondary schools? Zest Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of schools in Staffordshire starting this September.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom to deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You'll support students in maintaining a productive and positive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring continuity in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering lesson plans provided by the class teacher

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Supervising students during class time and ensuring engagement

*

Providing feedback to teaching staff where necessary

Requirements:

A confident and professional manner

Excellent communication and organisational skills

*

Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)

*

Ability to travel to various schools across Staffordshire

*

A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Zest Education)
