Careers and Employability Advisors

Location: Victoria/Soho, Tottenham, Kings Cross (must be flexible to work across sites)

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am 5pm

Pay: GBP19 – GBP22 per hour

Start Date: 19th August or 1st September

Contract Type: Long–term temporary role

We are recruiting Careers and Employability Advisors to support students at a leading post–16 college in London.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one–to–one and group careers guidance to studentsSupport learners in developing employability skills and exploring future pathwaysLiaise with employers, training providers, and higher education institutions to identify progression opportunitiesAssist with CV writing, job applications, and interview preparationDeliver workshops and contribute to careers events and employability initiativesAssist in the development of resources, including e–resources, to support careers, higher education, apprenticeships, employment, and training pathwaysProvide guidance to vocational and academic students on post–18 optionsSupport tutors in delivering careers education, higher education, apprenticeships, employment, and training programmesAssist in the planning and delivery of careers education, enterprise and employability programmes for students, in collaboration with the Enterprise, Employability and Careers Manager, other EEC Advisers, and relevant partnersCandidate Requirements:

Degree plus a qualification in Careers Guidance (Level 6 careers equivalent) OR a Level 6 in Careers Guidance qualificationExperience providing careers advice and employability support, ideally within education or youth servicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA proactive and student–focused approachFlexibility to travel across college sites as requiredThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on young people s futures while working within a supportive and forward–thinking college environment.
