Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

Delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a productive learning environment

Supporting students with their learning and ensuring lesson objectives are met

Reporting back to teaching staff and recording any incidents or progress

Covering a range of subjects – ideal for those who enjoy variety

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

Hold a degree in any subject (education, psychology, English, science, maths, history etc. all welcome)

Have strong communication and leadership skills as a Cover Supervisor.

Are confident in managing a classroom and engaging students

Are considering a career in teaching or education

Have some experience working with young people (advantageous but not essential)
