Job Title: Primary 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Contract Type: Long Term

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated Primary 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to work within mainstream and specialist settings in Wakefield000. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting young children facing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them to navigate their education and personal development within a nurturing and structured environment.

Position Details:

- Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

- Long-term role with the potential for a permanent position

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

- Experience working with children, especially those with challenging behaviours or additional needs

- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis

- Strong communication skills for building effective relationships with students, staff, and parents

- Adaptability and resilience to support the dynamic needs of young learners

- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children
