Start Date: September 2025

Be the calm in their storm

We’re looking for a patient, committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and ADHD. This role is about much more than academics—it’s about building trust, creating a safe space, and helping a child feel capable and valued.

In this role, you’ll:

Work 1:1 to help the pupil engage with lessons and learning activities

Use de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviour calmly

Support emotional regulation, focus, and confidence

Liaise with the SENCO, class teacher, and parents to keep progress on track

You’ll need:

Experience supporting children with SEMH and/or ADHD

A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

(Bonus) Training in de-escalation, Thrive, or trauma-informed practice
