Behaviour Mentor:

This specialist school believes that every child, regardless of their background or starting point, is entitled to a world-class education. They want to ensure that students’ attendance, behaviour, and attitudes to themselves, others and learning will allow them to achieve good outcomes. This Behaviour Mentor role is here to support that.

It would be ideal if the Behaviour Mentor has experience in safeguarding, mentoring, counselling or SEMH -or who has previously worked as a Behaviour Mentor & can build trusting relationships.

Behaviour Mentor – The Role:

Support students with behavioural needs

Students can range from having an ADHD, ASC, SEMH diagnosis

Carry out 1:1 and group intervention sessions

Collaborate with experienced teachers and support staffBehaviour Mentor – what makes you suited to this role:

Patience, resilience, and approachability

Calm, understanding and proactive attitude

Prior education experience within SEN /Safeguarding / Inclusion / Pastoral roles

Ability to communicate effectively with the SENDCO, class teacher, and parents

You can work independently and as part of a team
