Behaviour Mentor

Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham (B29)

Start Date: September 2025

Pay: £455 - £480 per week

Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Selly Oak (B29) is looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team in September 2025. This is a full-time role working across Key Stage 2, supporting pupils through targeted interventions aimed at improving engagement, behaviour, and emotional understanding.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in helping pupils achieve both behavioural and academic progress. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading one-to-one and small group sessions focused on emotional regulation and behaviour management.

Supporting pupils to set and work towards behavioural and academic goals.

Creating and maintaining behaviour reports and working with teachers to track pupil progress.

Providing support to pupils whose behavioural challenges may be linked to special educational needs (e.g. ADHD)

Working closely with class teachers to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach across the key stage.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact in a nurturing school environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children in a school setting, ideally within Key Stage 2.

A good understanding of behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques.

Some experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly those with behavioural needs (preferred).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
