Join Our Dynamic Team as an Autism Support Assistant

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our vibrant SEN school for secondary-aged students. If you are committed to supporting students with autism to achieve their full potential, we want to hear from you!

Position: Autism Support Assistant

Location: Portsmouth

Hours: Full-time (8.30am – 3.30pm)

Start Date: September start

What You’ll Do:

Supporting students with autism in both classroom and extracurricular activities

Implementing individualised support plans and strategies

Promoting positive behaviour and social interaction

Assisting with communication and sensory needs

Building trusting relationships with students to encourage independence and confidence

Experience working with students with autism or in an SEN setting

Genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs

Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
