This thriving SEN secondary school in Stockport is looking for a dedicated and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team and make a real difference in students’ lives.

The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students in Key Stages 3 and 4 on a 1:1 basis

Work in both the classroom and the school’s behaviour hub

Assist students with challenging behaviour, ADHD, ASC, and other additional needs

Use strong de-escalation strategies to manage behaviour effectively

Be flexible and proactive across different classes and year groups

Contribute to a committed and collaborative SEN support team

Please note: A driving licence and business insurance are essential for this role, due to the nature of the support required across different settings.

Requirements – SEN Teaching Assistant We are looking for a confident and experienced individual with:

Experience in an SEN, PRU, or alternative provision setting

Strong behavioural management and de-escalation skills

A TA qualification or degree (desirable but not essential)

A proactive and professional approach

A valid UK driving licence
