Support Role: Classroom and 1:1 ALN support responsibilities

Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs?

A nurturing and inclusive ALN school in Cardiff, in partnership with Empowering Learning Cardiff, is seeking a committed ALN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025. This full-time role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex needs.

You will work closely with teaching staff and ALN professionals to deliver individualised support, promote pupil engagement, and help create a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment. The role may involve 1:1 support and small group interventions.

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting children or young people with ALN (in school or care settings)

A calm, patient, and adaptable approach

Ability to follow EHCP targets and behaviour plans

Understanding of ALN strategies and inclusive practice

A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
