Job Title: 1:1 Home Tutor – ASD

Location: Leicester City

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Contract / Flexible Hours

Pay: £20 – £35 per hour, depending on experience

Would you enjoy making a real difference through 1:1 tuition in a home-based setting?

TeacherActive is looking for a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Home Tutor to support a young person with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD in Leicester City.

This is a home-based tuition role, providing personalised 1:1 educational support to a learner who requires an individual approach outside of a traditional classroom environment.

The successful ASD Tutor will be confident building positive relationships, adapting sessions around the learner’s needs and interests, and creating a calm, engaging environment where they can develop both academically and personally.

The successful 1:1 Home Tutor will have:

Experience supporting children or young people with ASD / Autism

Experience delivering 1:1 tuition, teaching or educational support

The ability to adapt learning to meet individual SEND needs

A patient, calm and flexible approach

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A good understanding of safeguarding

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

The role will involve:

Delivering engaging 1:1 tuition within the learner’s home

Planning sessions around the learner’s individual ability and needs

Supporting engagement, confidence and progress

Using appropriate strategies to support a learner with ASD

Recording progress and providing regular feedback where required

Working closely with parents/carers and other professionals involved in the learner’s support

In return for the above, you can expect to receive:

£20 – £35 per hour, depending on experience
