1:1 Teaching Assistant - WA4 Primary School (Warrington)
Full-Time | Long-Term Role
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in the WA4 area of Warrington, who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a full-time, long-term position supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The child has experienced previous trauma, so we are looking for someone who can provide a consistent, supportive and nurturing approach to help them succeed in school.
The role:
Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN and SEMH needs
Implementing strategies to support learning, social skills and emotional regulation
Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to follow tailored support plans
Building positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress
About you:
Strong behaviour management skills are essential
Experience of working with children or young people with SEMH difficulties
Patient, resilient, and able to provide a calm, supportive presence
No formal qualifications required - what matters most is your experience and commitment
