Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Rotherham, S60

Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a school based in Rotherham. Join a welcoming school in as a 1:1 TA and make a meaningful difference in a child’s learning journey.

Responsibilities as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs, ensuring they are fully engaged and supported throughout the school day.

Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs.

Encourage positive social interaction and promote independence.

Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to follow and review the pupil's support plan.

Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents.

Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

Have experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, ideally within a school setting.

Be confident in managing a range of learning and behavioural needs.

Demonstrate a calm, empathetic, and resilient approach.

Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
